GM to Lay Off 1,500 Plant Workers in Thailand, Reuters Reports

--General Motors will start laying off about 1,500 employees in
Thailand in June, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing a Thai
government official.
--GM agreed earlier this week to sell its Thai manufacturing
facilities to China's Great Wall Motor, a deal that didn't include
the transfer of employees, Reuters said, citing an adviser to the
labor minister.
