1557 GMT [Dow Jones] SMI ends 0.8% higher at 7741.07, with 17 of the 20 component stocks finishing the session in the black. Big banks advance, with Credit Suisse +3.5%, Julius Baer +1.9% and UBS +1.7%. These gains come amid positive manufacturing reports in Europe and the US, though as Switzerland's own key index for manufacturing output is reported to have fallen slightly in June.
