ACQUIRER: M&G Real Estate
SELLER: The Harvest Partnership, a joint venture between Land
Securities Group PLC (LAND.LN) and J Sainsbury PLC (SBRY.LN).
TARGET: Selly Oak Shopping Park in Birmingham, U.K.
PRICE: 94 million pounds ($125.5 million)
STRUCTURE: Landsec will receive 50% of the proceeds.
RATIONALE: Enables Landsec to crystallize the value of the 91%
prelet retail development.
STOCK MOVE: Landsec shares up 5.30 pence, or 0.6%, at 940.30
pence; Sainsbury shares up 1.70 pence, or 0.5%, at 317.30
pence.
