LEEP, Inc. (Pink Sheets: LPPI), disclosed that the company has delivered to the United States Marine Corps an initial order for six buildings made of its patented LeepCore™ structural insulated (R-25) panels. The buildings were designed to USMC specifications, prefabricated at the LEEP, Inc. plant, shipped, and assembled on site at the USMC base. LEEP, Inc. personnel attended the first live munitions testing exercise involving plastic explosives; similar exercises will be conducted in the days ahead using explosives and firearm weaponry. These structures will initially be used as part of a training program for soldiers deploying to Middle East war zones. A spokesman from the company stated, “We are extremely gratified that the structures held up very well, as we expected, in this round of testing, and that the Marine Corps is impressed with our panels. We are confident the ensuing simulations of battlefield conditions will again yield positive results for the LeepCore™ panels, which will enable us to further refine the structures to maximize their utility for various military uses. These exercises serve to bolster the documented strength of the LeepCore™ panel. Other USMC bases, and other branches of the military, have expressed interest in these as well as similar LeepCore™ structures. It is an honor for us to participate in the efforts of our men and women in the armed forces who sacrifice so much for our freedom and safety, and we are pleased for the opportunity to do so. This use of our product by the Marine Corps enables us to be of assistance, and grow our business at the same time.”
