BEIJING, July 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Medical Care
Technologies Inc. (OTCBB: MDCE) - As China continues to develop into a global
economic power, the country's infrastructure is also facing an
upgrade as well. Key among its growth sectors is healthcare as
evidenced by a heavy investment in government healthcare spending,
especially children's healthcare.
With China's growing
middle-class population, the demand for advanced healthcare
services has increased in step with the rising disposable income of
its 1.3 billion people (est.) and the industry is forecasted to
grow at a CAGR of over 16% for the period 2011-2013 (China
Healthcare Sector Analysis: China Business, May 2011).
Medical Care Technologies Inc., through its Chinese subsidiary,
Teddyberry™ and Company, has graduated from its development phase
and has broken ground on the first of many planned private
children's health and wellness centers throughout China.
The Flagship Facility in China's progressive 'megacity' in Dongguan, Guangdong
Province is scheduled to open its doors in the last quarter
of 2011, and already the Company has received additional backing to
fast track the licensing process for its next location in
Beijing.
"The healthcare industry here in China is looking for solutions that we
provide, so there is very strong interest in our Company. We moved
very quickly through the licensing phase in Dongguan and, with the additional funding, we
can accelerate the development and proof of concept with a second
location of our children's health centers," stated Luis Kuo, Chief Operations Officer of Medical
Care Technologies Inc.
The enthusiasm from the Chinese government and investors has
created uplift in the Company's near and midterm growth strategy
and was a spotlight topic in the Company's recent series of
meetings. A corporate summit with the Board of Directors,
Management Team and Medical Advisory Board members was recently
held in Dongguan and Beijing to plan the Company's strategic
operational next steps for the upcoming year.
The series of meetings took five working days to conclude and
the leadership teams emerged with clear plans for the framework of
its pediatric operations for 2011 – 2012 in an enthusiastic
business climate. Also present were several government health
officials from various cities and provinces in China to advanced previous discussions for
license attainment in the larger and Tier-2 cities.
Ning Wu, Chief Executive Officer
of Medical Care Technologies Inc. had this to say: "Our vision is
to create a world class children's integrated healthcare system for
our patients and their families. To do so requires planning and
commitment. Our objective at these meetings is to ensure that our
entire Management Team is aligned with operational priorities and
that these form the basis of our long term vision of what we see as
possible for our health centers."
