Monarch Announces Two New Board Members

Monarch Gulf Exploration, Inc., (Pink Sheets:MGFX) today announced
it has appointed two new members to its Board. Chet Pohle, a
Petroleum Geophysicist, has accepted the invitation to sit on the
board of Monarch Gulf Exploration. Mr. Pohle has over thirty years
of experience in the technical development and evaluation of
exploration and production hydrocarbon prospects including
acquisition, processing, and interpretation of seismic data
integrated with geologic data. He also has over 10 years experience
in the technical supervision of staff in the development of
hydrocarbon prospects. Mr. Pohle has extensive experience in
geologic provinces and productive oil and gas basins both
domestically and internationally. His international experience
includes Tunisia, Venezuela, Qatar, Canada, Spain, and Australia to
name a few. His domestic experience includes specific expertise in
the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast regions as well as the
California San Joaquin Basin. This California expertise will be a
positive contributing factor in moving the company forward with its
current portfolio of prospects. Mr. Pohle is located in
Bakersfield, California and will direct Monarchs interests and
activities in the San Joaquin Basin as well as Monarchs interests
and activities in other strategic projects. Mr. Pohle will also be
serving Monarch as a senior technical advisor. Ray Henningsen of
Fresno, Ca., also joins the Board of Monarch Gulf Exploration, Inc.
Mr. Henningsen has been investing in oil and gas for many years and
he has a�comprehensive background in many facets of the oil and gas
business. He founded Casa Blanca Ventures, LLC,�a privately owned
Oil and Gas investment company�which has invested in numerous oil
and gas prospects. He has a�solid understanding of the financial
dynamics�and what it takes to be successful in the oil and gas
exploration arena. Mr. Henningsen also brings significant business
acumen and experience to the board of Monarch. He has founded and
operated several integrated real estate companies, and is the owner
of numerous domestic and international real estate properties

American baseball player for the University of Santa Clara and was
