Hungary's MOL To Build 860 MW Gas Plant In Slovakia -Report

Hungarian oil and gas company MOL Nyrt. (MOL.BU) plans to build
a gas-fired power plant at the site of its Slovak unit Slovnaft
a.s. (SLN.BS) in Bratislava, Hungarian business daily Napi Gazdasag
reported Thursday.
The plant will have a capacity of 860 megawatts, similarl to the
one MOL is building at its refinery in Hungary's Szazhalombatta as
part of a joint venture with its Czech strategic partner CEZ AS
(BAACEZ.PR). CEZ holds 7.3% of MOL.
The Slovakian plant is also planned to be built in cooperation
with CEZ, Vilagi said.
MOL will complete the Slovakia-based plant somewhat later than
the Hungary-based one, which is in turn expected to begin
commercial operation in the first quarter of 2015, the Slovnaft CEO
said.
MOL traded up 1.2% or HUF180 at HUF15,880 at 0945 GMT.
