MedLink (PINKSHEETS: MLKNA) (OTCQB: MLKNA), a leading provider of
clinical software and healthcare IT solutions, along with Secure
EDI, a leading provider of electronic claims solutions and
healthcare IT services for payers and providers announced today the
launch of its collaboration to offer Secure EMR to the Puerto Rican
market. Secure EMR 4.0, a product co-developed by MedLink and
Inmediata Health Group Corporation, Puerto Rico's leading
healthcare EDI exchange and a subsidiary of Secure EDI, will be
marketed as a fully integrated EHR, Practice Management and
electronic claims connectivity solution to the more than 9,000
Inmediata Providers throughout Puerto Rico. Secure EMR is a CCHIT
2011 Certified Ambulatory EHR and 2011/2012 ONC-ATCB certified EHR
that qualifies its users for 'meaningful use', allowing for the
automation of everyday clinical functions such as prescriptions,
documenting patient visits, lab ordering, creating notes and tasks
and much more to create immediate efficiencies in practice
productivity.
"With close to ten (10) years of providing electronic claims and
other technology services we have become a trusted resource to the
Puerto Rican market that our Providers have come to rely on to
provide technology solutions. Secure EMR is a natural extension of
our technology offerings, as our clients have looked to us to
provide and easy to use, affordable, and compliant EHR that fits
the needs and workflows of the Puerto Rican practice," said Secure
EDI CEO, Barry Byrd. "We are excited to collaborate with our
technology partner MedLink, to provide our network of physicians in
Puerto Rico a CCHIT 2011 Certified Ambulatory EHR and 2011/2012
ONC-ATCB certified EHR that will assist them in qualifying for
'meaningful use'."
Secure EMR 4.0 will be deployed as a web-based
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and will provide implementation,
training and support services all from its Puerto Rico based
offices and technology centers. The Secure EMR 4.0 can be accessed
securely from any PC or internet enabled device, significantly
reducing the upfront hardware costs required for implementing
traditional software based EHR systems while also freeing
physicians in smaller practices from the need to manage costly
software, networking and hardware issues and allowing for faster
implementations.
