today announced the appointment of Fernando
Menezes as director, corporate communications, Nissan
Brazil, as the company continues its business growth throughout
Brazil and the Americas region as
a whole.

Menezes, currently general manager, Nissan corporate and
brand communications, Nissan Europe, will report to Francois Dossa, vice president, administration
and finance, Nissan Brazil, and David
Reuter, vice president, corporate communications, Nissan
Americas.
As Nissan continues to experience rapid growth in the world's
fourth-largest automotive market, Menezes will lead communications
efforts for the company and also be responsible for Nissan's Rio
2016 Olympics sponsorship. Nissan, the fastest-growing automotive
brand in Brazil in 2011, will
launch 8 new products in Brazil by
2016.

Menezes joined Nissan in 2002 as manager, communications, Nissan
Brazil, and moved to Nissan Motor Company, Ltd., in 2008 to become
general manager, communications, Latin
America, Africa,
Middle East, China and Southeast
Asia. In April 2010, he was
named general manager, global product and technology
communications, and in October 2010,
he moved to Switzerland to assume
his current role.
Menezes holds a master's degree in administration from
Fundacao Getulio Vargas and
specialization degrees in communications from Escola Superior de
Propaganda e Marketing and in global strategic marketing from
Kellogg School of Management.
The change is effective Aug.
