Twin Trees Land Company, a family owned commercial real estate investment company with properties in Hawaii and several states across the nation, and Premier Power Renewable Energy, Inc. (OTCBB:PPRW), a global leader in the development, design, engineering and construction of solar power systems for commercial, government and utility markets globally, announced today the companies are initiating three solar energy systems in the greater Sacramento area. The installations – the largest solar energy projects for Twin Trees Land Company will contribute towards Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Existing Buildings Operations & Maintenance certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

In operation since 1932, Twin Trees Land Company is a family-owned business, dedicated to serving its customers and clients by providing the highest quality real estate ownership and property management services. Twin Trees began assessing their Sacramento area properties in late 2008 for potential improvements in energy efficiency, water efficiency, and environmentally preferable management practices and to determine their eligibility for LEED for Existing Building Operations & Maintenance certification. Partnering with Williams + Paddon Architects and a team of Consultants, their properties at 2220 Douglas Boulevard and 2240 Douglas Boulevard in Roseville, CA were the first to receive upgrades such as high-efficiency HVAC units, occupancy sensors, water efficient landscape and irrigation systems and high efficiency plumbing fixtures, which contributed towards achieving an ENERGY STAR Label in 2009 and LEED Gold certification in 2010.

Twin Trees’ property at 10540 White Rock Road, Rancho Cordova, CA will undergo similar energy efficiency improvements and will begin the LEED EB certification process before the end of this year. The addition of photovoltaic arrays at these three properties, leveraged by the availability of Federal Grants and Utility Company rebate programs, will enhance Twin Trees’ efforts to provide high quality, sustainably operated properties in the greater Sacramento area.

The rooftop installations incorporate high-efficiency solar photovoltaic (PV) modules from Suntech to convert the facilities into clean and renewable energy-producing sites. Premier Power designed and engineered the solar systems to supply more than 755,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of energy annually. The electricity generated onsite will be equal to more than 30% of each building’s annual electricity use or enough to meet the annual needs of approximately 65 California homes, and avoid the annual CO2 emissions from using 1,212 barrels of oil or 58,405 gallons of gasoline.

“Twin Trees Land Company is a role model in its industry, committed not only to providing quality real estate investment services, but doing so in an environmentally sustainable fashion,” said Dean Marks, Chief Executive Officer at Premier Power. “By providing these installations, Premier Power is now helping to establish Twin Trees as a renewable energy beacon in the Sacramento community.”

"We are committed to be a community leader and innovator for creating environmentally responsible commercial properties. And within the Sacramento area, we continue to work with partners so we can create a healthy and lively community," said Jeffrey Lum of Twin Trees Land Company.

“Twin Trees is an innovative Client continually looking for opportunities to improve the sustainability, efficiency and quality of their properties, positioning themselves at the forefront of the commercial office real estate market”, said Regina Souchek and Mark Posnick, Williams + Paddon Architects.

Construction is scheduled to begin at the end of October with the system being mechanically completed by the end of 2011.
