Tele2 Russia Appoints Former Rostelecom Head As New CEO

MOSCOW--Tele2 Russia has appointed the former chief executive of
Russian state-controlled telecommunications giant Rostelecom
(RTKM.RS) Alexander Provotorov as its new chief executive effective
Wednesday, VTB Group, which now own Tele2 Russia, said in an
emailed statement.
Mr. Provotorov is also on Tele2 Russia's board of directors.
Jere Calmes, who has been the company's chief executive since
February of this year, will remain in the company in the position
of the first deputy general director, VTB also said. In this
capacity he will be responsible for the company's operational
results and will become a board member, the statement also
said.
