B-Scada Named to CIOReview’s “20 Most Promising IoT Solution Providers 2017”
Tuesday, January 31, 2017
CRYSTAL RIVER, FL: B-Scada, Inc. (OTCQB: SCDA) was recently awarded recognition from some of today's top IoT industry professionals. As a global leader in data acquisition and visualization technology, B-Scada has been recognized as one of the top 20 IoT Solution Providers of 2017 by CIOReview Magazine.

Most Promising IoT Solution Provider Certificate

"It's a great honor to select B-Scada as one among the 20 Most Promising IoT Solution Providers of 2017," said Jeevan George, Managing Editor of CIOReview. "B-Scada's Status Device Cloud is a customizable IoT platform that uses OPC UA information modeling to allow users to connect data from hundreds of different types of hardware for real-time visualization, reporting, archiving, workflow, and other higher level functions."

B-Scada's Status Device Cloud is a new IoT PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) that allows users of any skill level to develop sophisticated IoT solutions using a simple point-and-click interface without any programming.

"Dozens of companies have jumped on the IoT bandwagon to provide IoT solutions," explains B-Scada CEO, Ron DeSerranno. "However, most of these vendors are only providing API's and web services which require a great deal of custom programming and development to build a solution. This is time consuming, expensive and risky. With Status Device Cloud solutions can be developed in a few days with far greater functionality, at a fraction of the cost and with no programming."

Status Device Cloud eliminates many of the barriers to entry into the IoT for many budget-conscious consumers, providing a platform for powerful, far-reaching solutions without the need for a large upfront investment. Learn more at http://scada.com/Software/device-cloud-iot.

Yeah, certainly the big players have the brand-name and marketing budgets going for them over B-Scada. But we are talking multi-billion dollar companies vs a $3M dollar company, so a couple of multi-year contracts to replace the lost oil revenue could do wonders for this company/stock. And the SaaS IoT model could gain traction, as it seems like it would have appeal to small companies looking to hit the ground running with an offering that is complete and easy to set up. At this point, the company has reduced their budget and are getting closer to profitability...while promoting a commpete offering - on a limited budget - they feel is top-notch.

Despite its small size, B-Scada has attracted high profile clients before (Schlumberger, Korean subway system), so we could see more in the future. Both the SCADA and IoT are high growth areas, and SCDA is a low float stock, so its a good one to keep an eye on to see where it goes from here. Not many eyes on it at the moment. We will see how it plays out....

$SCDA - did a webinar with B-Scada to explore their offerings for our wastewater treatment plant. Was impressed with what they had to offer, which was very visually appealing. Problem is, there are some big fish in this arena (Rockwell, GE) that currently dominate the market. Will be watching for now with keen interest.

In the SCADA arena, keep an eye out for $SKKY, owner of Dream Reports (which has partnered with many big players already).

SCDA reported a loss with a decline in revenue (due to the loss of oil related business). But hope spring eternal and there is optimism for the new, complete, easy-to-deploy IoT offering. Lets hope it gains some traction. It sounds like it would have appeal to anyone looking to get their foot in the IoT door without the headaches involved in piecing it together themselves.

SCDA one for 10 reverse split effective May 2,2016:

Imo, the sub 20 cent stock was hindering B-Scada's ability to sign contracts because the company appeared to be scammy or weak with a stock price that low. So splitting the stock 1 for 10 made sense, as now its over $1 and maybe potential customers and funds may consider the company to be more viable and trust-worthy.

As for an up-listing, I'm not holding my breathe at this point. My guess is Ron was hoping to get up-listed within the next year or 2 if all the growth plans came together. As we know, with the oil rev disappearing and all around slow contract flow the last year, the main thing is to stop burning cash, replace lost contracts, and get back to profitability.

Monday, May 2, 2016
CRYSTAL RIVER, FL: B-Scada, Inc. (OTCQB: SCDA) ("B-Scada") today announced that the company has submitted the necessary documentation with Finra and other required agencies to execute a 1 for 10 reverse split of its common stock. The corporate action will take effect 5/2/2016. The new symbol for the company will be SCDAD. The "D" will be removed after 20 business days and the symbol will change to SCDA. The number of authorized shares and the par value per share will remain unchanged.
"Over the last few months we have had discussions with investors, advisors and our board about our capital structure. By completing this reverse stock split, we expect to gain broader access to the institutional investment community, it is also one of the required steps for us to relist on a major exchange. This strengthened position will provide us the opportunity to fund future transactions which may be required for growth of the company", said Ron DeSerranno CEO of B-Scada.

I am kind of kicking my self for not selling at least some at .70 , however if SCDA was over valued then it is very under valued at $.135
If they go pink it's for good reason. I think/hope large orders must be just around the corner.
I may buy more at this price, I'm not selling. JMO

Thats what it sounds like to me. They are trying to cut everywhere they can at this point. The Q wasnt too bad, less rev but loss was very small....close to break-even. If reporting costs are 10% of 400k revenue, then yearly expenses must be @ 150k-160k to stay on the OTCQB. Until they get back on terra firma, maybe it does make sense to trade on the pinks and use that savings on other things, like payroll or marketing. As an investor, im not a fan of lack of transparency. As far as signing up new customers, maybe less transparency is better for business. I wish B Scada would sign a large contract or two before this becomes necessary. Its been frustrating holding this stock as long as i have, from 20 to 70 to under 20 cents. That loss of oil revenue killed our momentum. So much promise here but we keep hitting snags.

B-Scada Reports Solid Quarter, Despite Petrochemical Headwinds

Mar 15, 2016
OTC Disclosure & News Service

Crystal River, FL -

CRYSTAL RIVER, FL--(Mar 9, 2016) - B-Scada, Inc. (OTCQB: MOBS) reports solid first quarter (“Current Quarter”) results for fiscal 2015-2016. Our subsidiary in Spain was profitable for this quarter. We now have recurring revenue in a true SaaS (Software as a Service) model with our cloud based monitoring solutions. Our wireless sensor product line has passed initial testing. Drags on the business continue to be the disappearance of revenue from the petrochemical sector, and the skyrocketing costs of being a publicly reporting company.

Revenue for the current quarter is $404,182 down from the same period in the previous year of $496,144. Our Net Income (loss) for the quarter was ($35,730) an improvement from ($148,548) the year before.

Spain was profitable for the current quarter, business is brisk and we expect that Spain will continue to do well.

Software revenue and related consulting for the current quarter was $93,177 an increase over the previous year’s total of $90,731, petrochemical continues to be a drag.

Technology licensing has declined due to losses in the petrochemical sector, revenue is down to $311,005 from $405,413 in the same period last year. Some of our technology licensing agreements are due to start expiring over the next couple of years and will produce some headwinds for revenue growth.

Our cloud based services are now generating recurring revenue in a SaaS model. Deployments include cloud based monitoring of data centers, boilers and generators. The system is also being used for building automation for monitoring temperature and water detection. Another project that may come on line soon will be monitoring steam traps and man holes.

Our line of wireless sensors was to move into manufacturing, with a target completion date of March 31. Testing of the units and feedback from our system integrators indicated that the current range of the units (100-400ft) may not be adequate for many applications. The communications of the units are now being reworked to more powerful chips which will increase the range. These more powerful chips will result in the units requiring FCC testing and certification. The shipping dates of the sensors is expected to slip by 8-10 weeks. Our plans now are for a formal launch to be done at the national Sensors Expo and Conference June 21-23, 2016 at the McEnery Convention Center, San Jose, CA. We do not yet know how much of a boost our new line of sensors and related monitoring services will add to our annual revenue.

Due to the low price of oil, revenue from the petrochemical sector has completely disappeared. This revenue accounted for more than 50% of our revenue in fiscal 2013-2014. The disappearance of this revenue resulted in the company making some substantial reductions in expenditures to bring our expenses in line with our new revenue reality. Staff cuts have been done and marketing budgets reduced. Our efforts have been extensive, expenditures for the current quarter were just $453,794 a considerable drop from $710,174 for the same period the previous year. Despite our efforts our burn rate still exceeds our current revenue. The only place left for significantly reducing expenditures is in our costs of being a public reporting company. SEC reporting related expenses are almost 10% of our current revenue and over the past several years have cost the company approximately $1,000,000, money that could have been used for growth. In addition, we believe the transparency of being a public company may be discouraging some companies with larger projects from doing business with us, adversely affecting revenue and opportunity.

It is an exciting time for the company. We are moving from strictly a SCADA software company (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) to a broader business with cloud based services, integrated hardware and a global presence. As the IoT (Internet of Things), IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), and Smart City efforts gain momentum, B-Scada will be very well positioned for growth and opportunity. We would like to thank Yorkmont Capital Partners, LP and our current investors for their support.

8-K out.

http://ih.advfn.com/p.php?pid=nmona&article=69991204&symbol=SCDA

Looks like 3.35M shares sold to Yorkmont at .20/share, so $670,000 to B-Scada to fund their new sensor biz. While I'm not a fan of dilution, reality is the company needs cash in order to fund the expansion and this has been discussed as a necessary step. Could be worse, as the stock has been trading at 20 cents anyway (no discount) and 3.35M extra shares isnt overly dilutive in the grand scheme of things (@ 30M outstanding).

CEO from Uptake was on CNBC this morning. He previously founded a company called Groupon (ever heard of it?). Anyway, sounds like his new company (founded in 2014) is after the same IoT platform niche B-Scada is after. I bet his company is well-funded so this new equity investment is essential to get B-Scada up and moving and not left in the dust as this market takes off.

Any thought?

Yeah, its been a disappointing year for revenue and stock performance. I figured we'd be making more progress w/ Status deployments by now, and didnt count on losing that steady revenue generated from the energy sector (no one expected oil prices to collapse as they have, so not B-Scada's fault). That said, Ron and company are innovating and staying the course they set out. We will climb out of the hole in due time, imo. With the added sensor component, they will now have a complete offering for potential customers in a rapidly growing (global) market. I'm underwater on my investment here but have confidence that I will do just fine w/ continued patience.

The Q filing should shed a little more light on what we can expect going forward...

B-Scada Group Releases Preliminary Unaudited 2015 Financials and Guidance
Monday, December 28, 2015
CRYSTAL RIVER, FL: B-Scada, Inc. (OTCQB: SCDA) has released their preliminary unaudited financials for 2014-2015. B-Scada, Inc. (B-Scada Group) includes B-Scada, Inc., B-Scada Soluciones Industriales SL. and Monitor Sensing Technologies Inc. B-Scada provides software and hardware solutions for the monitoring and analysis of real time data in the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), IoT (Internet of Things) and Smart City domains. B-Scada systems are sold worldwide in various verticals including building automation, transportation, smart grid, manufacturing, agriculture and commerce. B-Scada solutions are deployed onsite and as cloud hosted solutions in a SAAS (Software as a Service) model.

Overview

It has been a very productive year for the company. B-Scada has opened its European subsidiary in Cartagena, Spain providing us with European presence and the opportunity to engage with our customers in Spanish and Portuguese. Technology from our Status Enterprise SCADA and HMI systems has been utilized to launch our VoT (Virtualization of Things) IoT platform for monitoring and archiving real time data from various locations and hardware types through the Internet. A new B-Scada initiative, Monitor Sensing Technologies Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of B-Scada Inc. will be launching a line of lightweight sensors designed for residential and light commercial use in early 2016. Monitor Sensing will be utilizing Microsoft Azure and B-Scada software technology in the cloud for remote monitoring and archiving IoT data. Our SCADA software solutions have been enhanced to provide CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Monitoring System) capabilities. CMMS, when used in conjunction with our workflow and notifications capabilities now provides a true predictive maintenance system integrated with the monitoring of real time data.

2016 Strategy

B-Scada's strategy will be changing as we move into 2016. Our growth plans continue to stay focused on software revenues providing high margins and growth opportunity for the business, but we have also recognized that our SCADA, IoT and Smart City customers are looking for entire solutions not just software. In order to grow our software revenues, B-Scada will be engaging our customer base as a solution provider, providing not only world class data monitoring solutions but also our expertise and the expertise of our many hardware and software partners. As we move into 2016 we believe that approaching the market with this ecosystem will drive revenue and growth for B-Scada and its partners, as well as provide world class solutions to our valued customers.

Revenue is expected to be generated in 2016 from new directions, from Monitor Sensing Technologies Inc. through sensors sales and the sale of data monitoring services via a SASS model (Software as a Service) using our VoT Platform. Revenue is expected to increase from our IoT product offerings with our VoT Platform and from B-Scada Soluciones Industriales SL., our Spanish subsidiary. Our traditional SCADA and HMI software systems continue to be more and more recognized in the market.

B-Scada has a verbal commitment for additional equity funding to provide inventory and marketing efforts to launch Monitor Sensing Technologies Inc. This effort, together with our SCADA, HMI and IoT solutions will provide revenue for the company from multiple streams and verticals increasing our potential for growth and success.

2015 Results

B-Scada faced some fierce headwinds in 2015, the price of oil and pressures on coal resulted in the loss of significant revenue from the petrochemical and mining industries which accounted for almost half of our revenue. These losses affected our software revenue, consulting and technology licensing. Despite the drop in revenue from the petrochemical sector, Q3 2015 generated the most software revenue of any previous quarter for the company, partially due to new revenue from our Internet of Things (IoT) Platform.

We do not anticipate revenue from petrochemical to return in the near future. We do see revenue growth for software in IoT, Smart Cities and all other verticals and are confident the void will be filled in time. B-Scada has implemented cost reduction measures to bring our expenses in line with our new revenue reality and will be striving to return to profitability as soon as possible.

Revenue for the year ended October 31, 2015 was flat primarily due to the drop in revenue from the petrochemical sector. Revenue for the year was $1,933,321 - down 5% from fiscal 2014. Net loss was $406,534 due primarily to one time expenditures associated with the opening of the Spanish office, incorporation, and research and development costs for Monitoring Sensing Technologies Inc., launching of our VoT Platform initiative and development of CMMS capabilities into our systems. Results are unaudited, preliminary and subject to change.

It would be great if B Scada could secure some "smart city" contracts. Seems like they have the potential to be quite large, as cities have a lot of things to monitor.

The company creates some nice, professional promo videos for marketing:

From Wikipedia.. WOW

SCADA technology in the Internet of Things (the IoT)[edit]

A major stumbling block for full use of the Internet of Things (IoT) has been expressed by Jean-Louis Gassée (Apple initial alumni team, and BeOS co-founder). He asserts that the IoT has what he calls the "Basket of Remotes" problem, where hundreds of applications attempt to interface with hundreds of devices that don't share protocols for speaking with one another.[3]

While Gassée’s final vision includes self-configuration, a powerful intermediary step would be to have one application that can talk to many devices. At a high level, this “application that can talk to many devices” is a fair description of SCADA.

The primary difference between SCADA and IoT stems from the difference between M2M (Machine to Machine) and IoT. In an interview with Iot-Inc., Ron DeSerranno (CEO and Founder of B-Scada) says “We took our platform that was traditionally in very heavy Industry and we moved that out to the web… about 4 or 5 years ago so when we did the next evolution of our system, we made some changes to intentionally make it Internet-friendly, to have it HTML5-enabled and be able to host it off the private networks and out in the web.” He also says “In the IoT space, it could be sensors - but the data that you’re bringing in could also be weather data, it could be financial, you might be pulling information from a database. It’s a whole mash up of different types of information, not just hardware or exclusively hardware…Because we create an information model of the things that are being monitored, sort of like a contact in your telephone, that’s a little information model, virtualization of people you care about. So in our system you’ll go up and you’ll define what a sensor is to you, what properties are important on it, and you’ll essentially virtualize that asset up in our system.” [4]

In a recent report from Global Industry Analysts, Inc. that lists a handful of Key players in the Global Human Machine Interface (HMI) Solutions Market,[5] B-Scada is conspicuous as the only player that is applying their HMI/SCADA technology to the IoT, as evidenced by B-Scada’s membership in the Intel IoT Solutions Alliance.[6]

I am liking the recent news flow. Things seem to be picking up for Status Enterprise sales, especially in the foreign markets. Also, seems to be validation in government agencies trusting the platform to conduct operations. If its good enough for government agencies, it should be good enough for private businesses.

I wonder what a contract like this generates for revenue? I guess we will find out Q4 and into 2016.

B-Scada Continues to Expand Presence in Asia
Wednesday, September 30, 2015
CRYSTAL RIVER, FL: B-Scada, Inc. (OTCQB: SCDA) has announced that their trusted partner, Foreshow Information, has secured an important municipal account in Taiwan's capital city, Taipei, helping to improve the delivery of key resources to their citizens. B-Scada's software will be used to monitor, manage and optimize their operations using real-time data delivered through custom web interfaces.

With the help of Foreshow Information and other resale partners, B-Scada continues to stake out a large portion of the data visualization market in Taiwan and throughout Asia.

Management Commentary:

"We are finding that in markets not already completely saturated by competitive brands, consumers are still making buying decisions based on quality and value as opposed to name recognition. This is where B-Scada stands out, and why we expect our market share will continue to grow. Of course, it always helps to have knowledgeable and talented local partners like Foreshow Information."

B Scada should certainly ride the wave of IoT, as they have the platform to visualize and organize the data (and now sensors to monitor, as well).

Nice to see a mention of the latest news in their local newspaper:

I think this applies to SCDA sector.

The tech world needs to brace for a shake-up.

Actually, all sectors need to, because all corners of the tech world are coming together to transform every industry as we know them, according to Salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM) CEO Marc Benioff.

All types of companies are leveraging the cloud to make fast, more efficient software changes; social networking such as the kind that ridesharing company Uber uses to connect riders with drivers; predictive analytics that determine what consumers will want; and the Internet of things, connecting devices to a central, Internet-based location, controllable remotely over the Internet, Benioff explained.

At Uber, for instance, it's not just that the riders are customers, its workers are customers, too, so it's important for them to make sure drivers are happy and not leaving for competitors like Lyft, another ride-sharing company, Benioff said.

"Whether it's in transportation, health care, financial services, consumer product goods, every industry is getting disrupted. Every industry is going to be completely transformed," Benioff told CNBC in an interview. "I think that every company has to take notice that if you're not connected with your customer in a whole new way, you're in trouble," added the CEO of Salesforce, which runs a cloud-based customer resource management system and organized the Dreamforce conference , where tech professionals gathered in San Francisco this month.

The "Internet of things" could seep its way into the financial services industry, for example, potentially connecting checking and credit card accounts to common household devices, suggested Val Srinivas, the Banking & Securities research leader at the Deloitte Center for Financial Services in a report last year.

And the Internet of things has the potential to be embedded even further into consumers' lives.

"Imagine a personal health monitor that is also connected to your investment account. At the sign of any serious health hazard (say a heart attack), the investment account could automatically rebalance to limit your downside exposure, or transfer your holdings to more liquid securities, in anticipation of future cash needs. This may sound a bit far-fetched now, but is not completely out of the realm of possibilities," Srinivas wrote.

"I will tell you that we are moving into a very unusual time. we are moving into an unstable time because when you have this much disruption, especially with robotics and artificial intelligence, we all need to be thinking about what the ramifications are of that...," said Benioff.

But the executive said he hopes that the world won't end up in a scenario portrayed in the movie Terminator, in which machines become self-aware, make their own decisions and take over the world.

"I hope that we'll be smart enough to know we have a more awareness, and between our government leaders and our business leaders and our societal leaders that we're going to have a great future," Benioff said.

What I like about B-Scada is they can sell their product to any one that sells almost anything any where in the world. Talk about a large market.

Talltree's customer, A.P. Plasman is a leading provider of Class 'A' exterior products to the North American automotive industry. They are a highly integrated, full service plastics supplier with over 900,000 square feet of plant space. They have production facilities in Windsor, Ontario and Fort Payne, Alabama and maintain a sales presence in Canada, Michigan and Japan. They approached Talltree with some specific goals:

No surprise that Q2 was weak and Q3 might be as well, thanks to the suspension of the oil consulting due to the weak oil market conditions, plus the slow uptake of Status Enterprise sales. The good news from the pr is the positive commentary on Q4 and excitement for 2016. IoT/VoT is starting to get some nice traction, so these positive developments will start to be reflected in the Q's later this year and beyond. Patience will be rewarded, imo. In the meantime, I will try to add to my position when funds become available.
