Sandvik AB (SAND.SK), the Swedish engineer, said Friday it has completed the divestment of Sandvik Medical Solutions to Orchid Orthopedic Solutions, which is owned by Altor Fund III.

 
   MAIN FACTS:

-The business will be fully consolidated into Orchid Orthopedic Solutions from the second quarter 2012.

-The divestment of Sandvik Medical Solutions is in line with Sandvik's strategy to exit operations outside of the defined core businesses.

-At 1413 GMT shares in Sandvik traded 3.26% higher at SEK95.10.
