STOCKHOLM--Swedish engineering group Sandvik AB (SAND.SK) said
Wednesday its mining unit signed a SEK650 million ($100 million)
deal with Sasol Mining (Pty) Ltd. for the Shondoni Mine Materials
Handling project in South Africa.
MAIN FACTS:
-The order includes the supply of material handling systems,
both underground and surface, for a new coal mine.
-The contract, signed at the end of last month, will contribute
to Sandvik Mining's business from 2013 until 2015.
-The order includes design, procurement and construction.
-At 1408 GMT, Sandvik's shares were 1.5% higher at
SEK105.00.
