SHCAY Sharp Corporation (PK)

TOKYO--Sharp Corp. (6753.TO) has its eye on fresh talks with a number of major U.S. tech firms over a possible capital alliance, the Asahi Shimbun reported in its Friday morning edition.

Without citing where it obtained the infomation, the paper speculated that the struggling Japanese electronics makers may target such firms as Hewlett-Packard Co. (HPQ), Intel Corp. (INTC) and Apple Inc. (AAPL).
