Solucorp’s Mercury Emission Control Technology Excels At Major Testing Facility Demonstration

Solucorp Industries, Ltd. (OTC: SLUP) is pleased to announce
that its proprietary IFS-2C mercury emission control technology,
marketed under the trade name MetalliFix by CoaLogix, our exclusive
licensee, was recently successfully demonstrated at a highly
reputable coal fired testing facility. The results of this
demonstration were presented at the EUEC Energy and Environment
Conference in Phoenix, Arizona on February 4th, 2009.
The testing of the Companys technology was performed as a
result of a request by one of the testing facilitys clients, the
San Miguel Electric Cooperative (SMEC). A request for proposal was
made by SMEC to identify possible technology options that could be
used by the utility to meet the future U.S. federal mercury
reduction requirements for coal fired energy plants. Solucorps
technology successfully reduced total mercury concentrations by as much
as 75 percent while reducing all of the wet scrubber reemissions.
MetalliFix can help coal fired energy plants in meeting any current
and long-term federal and state requirements for total mercury
concentration reduction. MetalliFix has been previously shown to
remove 100 percent of the oxidized
mercury and also remove greater than 50 percent of the
elemental mercury from the flue gas when added to a scrubber.
MetalliFix also eliminates the mercury reemission problem while
increasing the plants total mercury removal efficiency.
The Companys technology can be used alone or in conjunction
with other sorbent or spray technologies such as activated carbon
or bromine injection to enhance their efficiency of mercury
removal, while significantly reducing or even eliminating mercury
reemission problems associated with these technologies. It is
important to note that MetalliFix, when tested independently, did
not produce any mercury reemissions commonly found in other
competitive technologies.
We are encouraged about the results from this demonstration,
states Noel E. Spindler, President of Solucorps Integrated
Fixation System subsidiary. This independent evaluation reaffirms
that our mercury emission control technology is a viable,
commercial solution to the problems that the coal fired energy
industry faces today and going forward.
