SUN Sports & Entertainment, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SUNR) announced today the appointment of Clyde Gentry III as President. Mr. Gentry was previously the Chief Operating Officer and is currently a member of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Gentry is one of the foremost authorities on Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), having authored the first book on the history of the sport, "NO HOLDS BARRED." From 1999 to 2001, he interviewed over 130 of the sport's biggest contributors including the creators of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The book has been called the most definitive account of MMA's history and has gone through three different incarnations with a fourth set for 2009.

"My passion for this sport is as strong as ever and I look forward to executing a very aggressive business plan for SUN," said Gentry. "With a great management team and new direction, we've found a very compelling niche to bring value to SUN shareholders and continue growing the sport."

In 2001, Mr. Gentry became Editor in Chief for "ULTIMATE ATHLETE," a monthly magazine on MMA. Gentry led UA to become the number one magazine for the sport for over two years and also served as matchmaker for three events under the banner.

In 2003, he co-created and served as matchmaker for VENOM, a new concept for MMA that blended reality show elements with strong characters for the fights held in a faux underground setting. He also produced, edited and served as matchmaker for FREEDOM FIGHT 2005: CANADA vs. USA, which was one of the first-ever MMA events broadcast on prime time television in North America, airing on Canada's flagship sports network, TSN.

In 2008, Mr. Gentry completed work as writer, director and editor for the feature-length documentary, "CORPOCRACY: THE OUTSOURCING OF AMERICA" which looks at the effects of globalization on the American Middle Class. Mr. Gentry spent nearly three years working on the film and interviewed many top names in Congress, along with economists and celebrities. Mr. Gentry is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Company to include matchmaking all professional Mixed Martial Arts bouts. He is licensed in the State of Texas, handles Fighter Contract Negotiations, Venue Contract Negotiations, Media Relations, TV Broadcast Partnerships, Program Development, Event Management Staff, and Personnel Management of Operations. He also holds a BBA from the University of North Texas.
