LAKE FOREST, Calif.,
Jan. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Voice
Assist, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: VSST), a leading developer of
hosted speech services and voice "in-application" technology, today
announced that Mobile Direct Response (MDR) has selected Voice
Assist to develop and host its speech recognition advertising
campaign tool. Utilizing the Voice Assist platform, MDR
provides its customers with an easy way to implement marketing and
advertising campaigns across major wireless carriers. The
Voice Assist platform gives consumers a shortcut for finding things
quickly by voice. By simply dialing #250 and pressing send on
their phone a consumer can say what they're looking for.
"With the ease of implementing Voice Assist's speech platform,
we were able to take our solution to market very quickly," said
Dave Robinett of Mobile Direct
Response. "Voice Assist provided us with a cost-effective
solution for helping our customers increase sales and
revenues."
MDR is offering advertisers the option to buy keywords in
geographic locations and provide on-demand information via mobile
screens or instant connect by speaking the name. Utilizing
the MDR service, consumers no longer have to remember or write down
random phone numbers or short codes to reach an advertiser.
When they are ready to buy, consumers just dial #250 on their
mobile phone and say the advertiser's brand, promo name or category
term such as pizza, mortgage, jewelry, etc. The benefit to
the advertiser is higher response rates and more sales and
revenues. No other mobile marketing platform provides a
national wireless speed dial that spans the major carriers in the
U.S. and Canada, and no other
mobile platform presently has the ability to locate any handset
(including non-GPS, non-smartphones). Unlike most advertising
that is paid for whether or not it works, advertisers only pay for
#250 calls received.
"We are pleased that MDR chose Voice Assist to power their
mobile advertising application and that millions of subscribers can
now use it, said Michael Metcalf,
CEO of Voice Assist. "One of Voice Assist's goals is to help
businesses get things done at the speed of communication."
Utilizing simple voice commands, MDR's customers can maximize their
advertising budgets by generating higher response rates for the
same advertising expenditure."
Voice Assist combined the latest speech technology with
Internet-based information and a world-class telecommunications
network, to provide the hosted speech platform and simple
development tools that enabled MDR to go from concept to commercial
product quickly. With a speech driven user interface, Voice
Assist is ideally suited for a mobile hands busy environment, like
in the car, or on the go.
Kansas City Public Television is the first PBS member station in
the country to offer MDR's #250 service that allows viewers to
support the station and their favorite shows. The #250 is
being displayed in fund-raising appeals after shows or mentioned by
on-air personalities. Viewers simply dial #250 on their
mobile phone, and say "KCPT" at the prompt. They are then
connected to a human voice that can accept donation information in
a secure fashion.
"MDR's #250 service gives our viewers another way to give," said
Cliff Kuehl, CEO of KCPT. "We
wanted to get into the mobile market because we know that's where
our younger viewers are and we need to cultivate them as our future
member-donors."
