Wialan Technologies Inc. (OTC Pink: WLAN, the “company”), a next generation telecommunications and security systems provider, announced its first successful installation and operation of its proprietary Wialan Satellite WiFi System in the Dominican Republic. Wialan’s Satellite WiFi System combines a satellite based delivery of internet bandwidth with Wialan’s proprietary Wi-Fi access points to enable numerous end users to access the internet at one time. The Wialan Satellite WiFi System also combines elements of a Public Address (PA) System as well as HD Security Surveillance Camera equipment to create a public safety environment for the location chosen for this initial installation.

The installation of Wialan’s technology took place at the Cigar Family Community School located in the Bonao region of the Dominican Republic. The purpose of this installation was to bring to hundreds of students at the school access to the internet for the first time. Wialan Technologies partnered with Hughes Satellite to deliver a high speed internet connection via satellite to the school.

The Company’s successful installation was followed by a high profile ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 8, 2014, attended by top officials from the Dominican Republic, as well as by senior management of both the Company and the Hughes Satellite Company.

With this milestone completed, the road is now open for the Company to conclude negotiations with the government of the Dominican Republic to roll out the Wialan Satellite WiFi System to thousands of other schools in the Dominican Republic, as well as beyond into the Caribbean, Central and South America over the next few years.
