Jim Carter, South Coast's owner and developer, purchased 400 acres of undeveloped land in the heart of Temecula's wine country in 1981. Today those 400 acres produce some of the best grapes in the world and South Coast's Master Winemaker, Jon McPherson turns them into award-winning wines.
