Not really. Nearly all the rivers in West Africa contain considerable placer gold, some richer than others of course. Not so much bedrock gold in Liberia compared to neighbours Guinea, Mali, Cote d'Ivoire, Burkina and especially Ghana, and Liberia's rivers are not so gold endowed.
