CLOSE FTSE 100 TRUST PLC

The Company was today informed that following a sale on 13 January of
1,000,000 Capital 10p shares, representing 4.90% of the issued class of
capital,Dresdner Bank AG and  subsidiary companies are interested in 6,425,000
Capital shares of 10p each, representing 31.50% (previously 36.40%) of the
issued class of capital.
The present position in respect of the disclosable interests of the
subsidiaries of Dresdner Bank Ag is as follows:-
Kleinwort Benson Securities Limited is interested in 6,425,000 capital shares
of 10p each, representing 31.50% (previously 36.40%) of the issued class of
capital. Kleinwort Benson Securities Limited is a subsidiary of Kleinwort
Benson Group plc. The shares in Kleinwort Benson Group plc are held by
Dresdner Investments (UK) plc, a wholly owned direct subsidiary of Zenon
Beteiligungs GmbH which is a wholly owned direct subsidiary of Dresdner Bank
AG.
