    AGA Foodservice Group plc ('the Company')                   

In accordance with Section 198-202 of the UK Companies Act 1985, AGA
Foodservice Group plc was advised yesterday that Aviva plc and its subsidiary
companies have a notifiable interest in 8,909,929 ordinary shares in the
Company representing 6.95% of the issued ordinary share capital. This follows
the disposal of 1,000,000 ordinary shares on 28 September 2005, representing
0.78% of the Company's issued share capital. The registered holders of the
shares to which this notification relates are set out below:
