                         Statement re Aga announcement



The Board of Enodis plc ("Enodis") notes the announcement today by Aga
Foodservice Group plc ("Aga") that it has decided against making an offer for
Enodis.



It welcomes the end of this latest period of uncertainty and is pleased that
management can focus all its efforts on the initiatives to drive shareholder
value, as outlined in the Preliminary Results Announcement made on 21 November
2006.
