                   AGA FOODSERVICE MAKES FLAVEL FIRES DISPOSAL

Aga Foodservice has entered into a conditional agreement to sell its Flavel
fire brand and related stock and tooling to the Canadian owned CFM Kinder
Limited for £1.15 million in cash.  In the year ended 31st December 2001
Flavel fires broke even on turnover of £2.4 million and at that date assets
attributable to the business were £0.7 million.

The sale is part of the repositioning process announced in January 2002 which
will make the Group's Leamington Spa production facilities its centre of
excellence for range cookers.
