                             Purchase of own shares

AGA Foodservice Group plc announces that on 25 May 2004, pursuant to the passing
of the resolution at the Annual General Meeting of the Company held on 7 May
2004, it purchased through Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein 150,000 ordinary
shares of 25p each in the Company at 233 pence per share. The purchase
represents approximately 0.12 per cent of the Company's issued ordinary share
capital.
