Ambrian Capital plc ("Ambrian" or the "Group") is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Ashley as interim CEO of the Group with immediate effect.

Robert Ashley spent fifteen years as a senior director in the NM Rothschild Group (NMR) culminating in his appointment as managing director responsible for NMR's global treasury activities. He is now non-executive chairman of Galena Asset Management Limited, a specialist commodities and resources alternative investment manager, part of the Trafigura group.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Lawrence Banks said: "I welcome Rob as the interim CEO of the Group. He has all the qualifications required to manage the Group going forward, particularly in relation to our growing commodities business."

Robert Ashley commented: "I am looking forward to joining the Ambrian Group and hope that I can make a significant contribution to its future."
