Issue of 100,000 Ordinary Shares for cash

Alliance Resources PLC (Alliance) announces that it has today issued for cash
100,000 Ordinary Shares of 40p. each to Rauscher Pierce & Clark, investment
advisers with offices in the USA and Europe.

The 100,000 new ordinary shares of 40p. each have been issued for a cash
consideration of US$150,000 in part payment of an invoice dated 26 August 1997
for fees for advisory services provided by Rauscher Pierce & Clark in relation
to LaTex Resources, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Alliance.

The new ordinary shares are identical in all respects to the existing ordinary
shares of Alliance and application will be made for the new ordinary shares to
be admitted to the Official List of the London Stock Exchange.
