On 15 July 2010, the Board of Astaire Group PLC ("Astaire" or the "Group") 
announced that following a strategic review the Board had commenced discussions 
with a number of parties with a view to either achieving a change in majority 
ownership of the Group, which would be likely to be achieved by way of a share 
subscription or a change in majority ownership of the main operating businesses. 
 
The discussions with a potential new investor about a share subscription leading 
to a change of control of Astaire did not reach a mutually acceptable 
conclusion.  However progress has been made in relation to the possible sales of 
the main operating businesses:- Astaire Securities PLC; and Rowan Dartington 
Limited. 
 
After conducting a disposal process which involved soliciting and evaluating 
several indicative offers for Astaire Securities PLC, two preferred potential 
buyers have been selected and are engaged in detailed negotiations.  However, 
there is no guarantee that any sale, which will be subject to regulatory 
consents and approvals, will be completed.
