AVD Avid Holdings

    Avid Holdings Plc (the "Company")                       

Pursuant to section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 the Company received
notification on 21 August 2006 that Griffin Two Limited had disposed of
6,000,000 ordinary shares in the Company. Subsequent to this disposal Griffin
Two Limited is interested in 46,000,000 ordinary shares representing 22.01 per
cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.

The issued share capital of the Company is 208,999,999 ordinary shares.
