Compulsory Acquisition of Outstanding Style Holdings Plc
                    ("Style") Shares

As stated in the announcement of 13 October 1999 by
Alexon Group plc ("Alexon" or the "Company"), Alexon has
now received valid acceptances of the Offer in respect of
more than 90 per cent. of the Style Shares to which the
Offer relates.

Accordingly, Alexon has issued notices pursuant to
section 429 of the Companies Act 1985 to Style
Shareholders who have not already validly accepted the
Offer, informing them that it now intends to exercise its
rights to acquire compulsorily, at the expiry of the
requisite notice period, all the Style Shares in respect
of which valid acceptances have not been received.

The Offer will remain open for acceptance until further
notice. Style Shareholders who wish to accept the Offer
and have not yet done so should return their completed
Forms of Acceptance as soon as possible. Style
Shareholders who have enquiries regarding the completion
of Forms of Acceptance should contact Lloyds TSB
Registrars by post at The Causeway, Worthing, West Sussex
BN99 6DA or by telephone on 01903 702 767.

As stated in the Offer Document dated 21 September 1999,
Alexon will procure that Style applies to the London
Stock Exchange for Style Shares to be de-listed and will
seek to re-register Style as a private company and it is
anticipated that, with the consent of the London Stock
Exchange, the cancellation of the listing on the London
Stock Exchange will take effect on 10 November 1999.
