                              WHITBREAD GROUP PLC
                                 (the "Issuer")


Notice of pricing in relation to the redemption of the #200,484,515 11.625 per
cent. Debenture Stock due 2011 (ISIN: GB0009605915) issued by the Issuer and
presently outstanding (the "Series 1 Stock", as held by the "Series 1 
Stockholders") and the #100,000,000 8.125 per cent. Debenture Stock due 2021
(ISIN: GB0009603423) issued by the Issuer and presently outstanding (the "Series
2 Stock", as held by "Series 2 Stockholders") (together, the "Stock", as held by
the "Stockholders")



Pursuant to the terms and subject to the conditions of the Series 1 Stock and
the Series 2 Stock, as amended by those extraordinary resolutions of each of the
Series 1 Stockholders and Series 2 Stockholders (each an "Extraordinary
Resolution") passed on 30 August 2007, all of the Stock shall be redeemed on 6
September 2007.

Those Stockholders who submitted valid proxies in respect of the relevant
Extraordinary Resolution prior to the early response deadline of 4.00 p.m. on 20
August 2007 shall be entitled to the Early Response Redemption Price set out
below in respect of their Stock, calculated in the manner described in the
relevant Extraordinary Resolution, and all other Stockholders shall be entitled
to the Redemption Price set out below in respect of their Stock, as also
calculated in the manner described in the relevant Extraordinary Resolution.

At 11 a.m. today, The Royal Bank of Scotland plc, as solicitation agent in
relation to the redemption of the Stock, calculated:

*  the Early Response Redemption Price as #1,190.08 per #1,000 nominal of
    Series 1 Stock;

*  the Redemption Price as #1,186.66 per #1,000 nominal of Series 1 Stock;

*  the Early Response Redemption Price as #1,282.62 per #1,000 nominal of
   Series 2 Stock; and

*  the Redemption Price as #1,270.96 per #1,000 nominal of Series 2 Stock.
