    Fraser And Neave Limited : Purchase of Additional 1, 800, 000 Shares

    Brierley Investments Limited ("BIL") announces that through its wholly
    owned subsidiary, Inscribe Investments Limited, it has acquired an
    additional 1,800,000 shares of Fraser and Neave Limited at the price of
    S$7.5079 per share. BIL now holds 10.852% of the paid-up capital of Fraser
    and Neave Limited.
