                         Base Group PLC (the "Company")





                           Application for Admission



Pursuant to the announcement made by the Company on 8 June 2001 concerning the
acquisition of Icon Management Solutions Limited and its subsidiaries ("Icon"),
the Company has today applied for 9,936,900 new ordinary shares of 1p each in
the Company ("New Ordinary Shares"), to be admitted to the Alternative
Investment Market ("AIM"). The issue and allotment of the New Ordinary Shares
represents the final payment of the earn out arrangements entered into at the
time of the acquisition of Icon. Admission of the New Ordinary Shares to AIM is
expected to become effective on 6th September 2004.
