 CHARTERIS WINS MAJOR CONTRACT WITH KINETIC CONCEPTS INC INTERNATIONAL ("KCII")

Charteris plc announces today that, having worked with KCI International
("KCII") to define a new IT strategy, it has been selected by the company to
take its Information Technology to the next stage of development. The contract
will be worth #2.3m over the next 18 months.

KCII is the International Division of Kinetic Concepts Inc., a global
corporation that develops and markets a broad range of innovative medical
devices for the healthcare market.

Charteris has been working with KCII over the past year to develop and implement
a new IT strategy to underpin the strong growth of the business. Charteris has
provided interim management and a project team who have applied Charteris'
unique blend of business and technology expertise to the combined challenges of
managing the ongoing operations and evaluating future business solutions. The
solution defined in this work is a fully fledged ERP system, based upon Oracle's
suite of products, that will support KCII's global operations.

As a result of the effectiveness demonstrated by Charteris in producing the
original IT strategy, Charteris was subsequently selected to implement the
defined solution across all of KCII's worldwide business units. Charteris has
overall responsibility for the project from sourcing the "best of breed" team to
delivering a world class solution based on the latest proven technologies.
