"Celtic plc Chief Executive Stands Down

Celtic plc confirms that Ian McLeod will be standing down as Chief Executive and
as a Director of the Company with effect from the expiry of the initial period
of his contract on 29th April 2003.

Mr McLeod will also be resigning from directorships of Celtic's subsidiary
companies at that time.

Temporary responsibility for his duties will be adopted by the company's
Financial Director and other members of the Company's senior management team.

The search for a successor is underway."
