Stamford, CT - April  9  , 2008 - Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:CDTI &
AIM:CDT & XETRA:CDI) the cleantech emissions reduction company, announced today
that Clean Diesel was informed on April 8, 2008 that on April 5, 2008 Derek R.
Gray, a director and chairman, gave 49,216 Clean Diesel Technologies common
shares to his adult children. Mr Gray disclaims any further beneficial interest
in these 49,216 shares. Following his gift Mr. Gray owns 95,755 Clean Diesel
shares and holds options and warrants to purchase 71,450 shares.
