Prudential plc in accordance with Part VI of the Companies Act 1985 (as amended)
that Prudential plc has a material interest in 13,489,268 ordinary shares of 25p
each in Chloride ("shares"), being 5.42% of the issued ordinary share capital of
Chloride.

The previous position advised by Prudential plc was on 14 July 2006, when a
notifiable interest in 24,972,773 (10.03%) shares was disclosed.
