Chloride announces the acquisition of Continuous Power International Limited
("CPI")

Chloride has acquired the shares of CPI for an undisclosed sum. CPI is a UK
company engaged in the service, maintenance and distribution of critical power
protection equipment.

In the year to 31 March 2001, CPI had sales of #2.9 million and net assets of
#362,000.

The business will continue to operate under the name Continuous Power
International from its Bedford premises.
