Chloride Group PLC ("Chloride") has today received notification in accordance
with Sections 198-202 of the Companies Act 1985 that Deutsche Bank AG and its
subsidiary companies (together "Deutsche Bank") has a notifiable interest in
34,904,150 Ordinary Shares of 25p each in Chloride, being 14.09% of the issued
ordinary share capital of Chloride.

The previous position notified by Deutsche Bank was on 5 December 2001, when its
interest in 33,337,914 (13.46%) Chloride ordinary shares was disclosed.
