  Recommended offer by Investec on behalf of Civica plc ("Civica") for Comino
                              Group plc ("Comino")

The board of directors of Civica announces that the document containing the
formal recommended cash offer by Investec (on behalf of Civica) for the entire
issued and to be issued share capital of Comino has been posted to Comino
shareholders today. Copies of the document are available from DLA Piper Rudnick
Gray Cary UK LLP, 3 Noble Street, London EC2V 7EE while the Offer remains open
for acceptance.

The first closing date of the Offer is 1.00 p.m., 10 January 2006.
