New Leveraged Trading Facility
Cobra Capital Limited (AIM: COC), the small-cap investment company, today
announces it has signed a trading and leverage facility with a leading EU
banking group. Under the terms of the agreement, Cobra will be able to leverage
the assets of the Company into new investment opportunities.
As of 30th June 2007, the Company's net assets were valued at approximately
#4.1million and this new facility will allow Cobra to make further investments
with a value of in excess of #20million.
To use the facility, Cobra will be subject to a minimum annual fee of Euro25,000
and an interest rate on borrowed euro funds of 0.5% above the EONIA (Euro
Overnight Index Average). The current EONIA rate is 4.06%.
Jonathan Freeman, a director of Cobra Capital, said:
"As shareholders are aware, it has been the long term intention of the Board to
significantly increase the assets under management and this facility achieves
that goal without diluting the interests of current shareholders. It transforms
Cobra into a leveraged long-only investment fund. We look forward to continuing
our investment strategy which has seen NAV increase by some 80% in the last
three years."
