Merger Clearance

The Secretary of State for Trade and Industry has decided, on the information at
present before her, and in accordance with the recommendation of the Director 
General of Fair Trading, not to refer the following merger to the Monopolies
and Mergers Commission under the provisions of the Fair Trading Act 1973:

Acquisition by Polypipe plc of B&H (Loughborough) Limited.

Acquisition by Viasystems Group Inc of Interconnection Systems Limited

Proposed acquisition by Compagnie De Saint-Gobain of Unicorn International plc

Proposed acquisition by Acco UK Ltd of Nobo Group plc
