                     Take up of Scrip Dividend Alternative


The Board of Conister Trust PLC announces that on Friday 28 October 2005, a
total of 91,345 Ordinary shares of 25p each will be allotted to shareholders who
have opted to receive Ordinary shares in the Company in lieu of the dividend in
respect of the Company's half-year ended 30 June 2005 at the reference price of
36.5p per share.

Application has been made for these shares to be admitted to AIM and trading is
expected to commence on 3 November 2005.
