Board Changes

At today's Annual General Meeting of Conister Trust, the Directors of Conister
were pleased to advise that following the recent announcement on 16 June 2006
that Jim Mellon and Don McCrickard will join the Board as Non-Executive
Directors, Jim Mellon has agreed to become Non-Executive Chairman, subject to
regulatory approval.

They were also delighted that Philip Stamp and Dr Christopher Fay have agreed to
join the board of Conister Trust PLC as Non-Executive Directors, subject to
regulatory approval, with effect from the conclusion of the meeting.

These appointments take effect from today, Friday 23 June 2006.

The CV's of Mr Stamp and Dr Fay can be found below:

Philip Stamp, aged 56
Currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aon Re UK and Chairman of Aon
Captive Services Group. After an early career in aircraft engineering he moved
into the financial services/insurance industry in 1975. He joined Aon in 1987 as
head of the Bermuda and Caribbean captive management business and in 1990 he
relocated to the Isle of Man becoming Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
Aon Captive Services Group responsible for the global captive business of Aon.
In 2004, he became Chief Financial Officer of Aon Re International and Aon Re
UK, based in London. In 2005 he was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer of Aon Re UK. Aon Re is the world's largest reinsurance broking business
and Aon Re UK is the leading London based reinsurance broker operating in
Lloyd's, other UK and global reinsurance markets. He is a Certified Accountant
and holds the Associate in Risk Management qualification from the Insurance
Institute of America. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Programme
of Harvard Business School. He is a past President of the Isle of Man Society of
Certified Accountants.

Dr Christopher Fay, aged 61
Dr Fay retired from the Shell Group in February 1999 after 30 years' service.
His last role in Shell was as Chairman and Chief Executive of Shell UK Ltd.,
Shell's multi-sector business in the UK, between 1993-1998. He is currently the
Non-Executive Chairman of Expro International plc and the senior Non-Executive
Director of BAA plc as well as being a Non-Executive director of Anglo American
plc and Stena Drilling Ltd. He was a Non-Executive Director of The Weir Group
plc 2001-2003. Dr Fay was also Chairman of ACBE (the Government's Advisory
Committee on Business and the Environment). He was a member of the CBI
President's committee 1993-1998 and also Chairman of the Oil Industries
Emergency Committee 1993-98. He has been a Member of the Advisory Board, Centre
for Leadership Studies and an Industrial adviser of Churchill College,
Cambridge. He received a CBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours in 1999. Dr Fay is
a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Royal Society of Edinburgh,
the Institute of Civil Engineers and the Institute of Energy. He is also an
Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Civil Engineers.

At the same time Simon Lee, who has been a Non-Executive Director since 2002,
has resigned from the Board of Conister Trust PLC with effect from today, 23
June 2006 owing to his growing responsibilities as a Senior Executive at Royal &
Sun Alliance Insurance Group plc, requiring him to travel extensively overseas.
Mr Lee commented "it is with regret that I have to resign at such an exciting
time for the company, but with my growing commitments overseas I am finding it
increasingly difficult to find sufficient time to contribute fully. With the
appointment of the new Non-Executive Directors announced last week and today
this is an opportune moment for me to resign as a director of Conister Trust. I
wish Jerry and the team well for the future."

Peter Hammonds continues as a Director of the Company.
