DEEP-SEA LEISURE PLC ("DEEP-SEA" OR THE "COMPANY") 
 
Deep-Sea announces that, as part of a reduction in his business commitments,
Frank O'Callaghan, the company's non-executive Chairman, is resigning with
immediate effect. The board of Deep-Sea (the "board") would like to thank Mr.
O'Callaghan for his contribution to the company during his appointment and to
wish him well for the future. 
 
The board is delighted to announce that Alastair Ritchie (age 52) has been
appointed as Executive Chairman of the company, also with immediate effect.
Mr. Ritchie is currently Chairman of Beauford plc and was previously Managing
Director of Fife Indmar plc. The board believes that Mr. Ritchie's wide
ranging experience will prove invaluable to Deep-Sea going forward. 
 
A further announcement regarding Mr. Ritchie's other directorships (present
and past) will be made shortly.
