Enterprise Inns plc - Repurchase of own shares



Enterprise Inns plc announces that it has today purchased for cancellation
100,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 593.60 pence per ordinary
share.  The highest price paid was 598 pence per share and the lowest price paid
was 588 pence per share. Such purchase was effected pursuant to irrevocable
instruction given prior to, and as announced by Enterprise Inns on, 28 September
2007.



Following the above purchase the total number of ordinary shares in issue and
the total voting rights in the Company (excluding shares held in treasury) is
511,367,054.



Of these 10,027,700 shares are held by Employee Trusts and are discounted for
earnings per share calculation purposes.



In addition to the above 50,000,000 ordinary shares are held as treasury shares
and are also discounted for earnings per share calculation purposes
