    DIRECTOR SHAREHOLDING 

    Elixir Petreoleum Limited (the "Company") announces that it was informed today that on 7 July 2008 the Epicure Superannuation Fund, of
which Jonathan Stewart, Executive Chairman, is a trustee and beneficiary, acquired 31,250 ordinary shares in the Company for an aggregate
consideration of A$8,437.5. 

    Following this purchase, Mr Stewart is interested in 24,281,250 ordinary shares, representing 13.26 per cent. of the issued ordinary
shares.
