            Eurocity Properties PLC ("Eurocity" or "the Company")

The Board of Eurocity is pleased to announce the acquisition of a freehold
supermarket comprising 22,125 sq. ft. at 177-195 High Street, Scunthorpe,
producing a rental income of #80,000 per annum.

177-195 High Street, Scunthorpe is let on a full repairing and insuring lease
subject to five yearly upward only rent reviews to QLM Limited, a regional
supermarket chain. The lease was granted on 16 March 2001 for a period of 20
years. The next rent review is due on 25 March 2006.

The purchase price is #710,000, which has been funded by the Nationwide
Building Society.
