                    Entertainment Rights plc (the "Company")

               Result of Firm Placing and Placing and Open Offer


On 25 March 2004, the Company announced a Firm Placing and a Placing and Open
Offer of an aggregate of 150,408,893 new ordinary shares of 5p each in the
Company ("New Ordinary Shares") at a price of 11.25p per share to raise #16.9
million before expenses.

Of the 71,548,742 New Ordinary Shares available for take up under the Open
Offer, valid applications had been received by the latest time for receipt of
applications under the Open Offer of 11.00 am on 27 April 2004 for an aggregate
of 34,021,206 New Ordinary Shares (including from certain Directors of the
Company and from Ashby Manor Limited in respect of an aggregate of 18,633,450
New Ordinary Shares pursuant to irrevocable undertakings previously given by
them). This represents approximately 47.45 per cent. of the New Ordinary Shares
made available under the Open Offer.

The 37,527,536 New Ordinary Shares not taken up under the Open Offer, together
with the 78,860,151 New Ordinary Shares the subject of the Firm Placing, have
been conditionally placed by Collins Stewart Limited, as agent for the Company,
with institutional and other investors.

The Firm Placing and the Placing and Open Offer remain conditional upon the
150,408,893 New Ordinary Shares being admitted to the Official List of the UK
Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange plc's market for
listed securities ("Admission").

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock
Exchange plc for Admission, which is expected to take place at 8.00 am on
Thursday, 29 April 2004.
